Source FFL Contact Management for Record Entry
BoundStack lets an account save dealer, distributor, wholesaler, manufacturer, and other business contacts, then link a selected source to an acquisition record.
Best Fit
Dealers who repeatedly enter the same verified source information and want consistent contact reuse.
Evaluation Rule
Test this workflow with representative records and current requirements. Product output is evidence to review, not a legal conclusion.
Implemented Scope
- Store business name, contact type, FFL number, contact details, address, and notes.
- Search saved contacts and link a source to a firearm record.
- Add a new source during acquisition entry.
- Export contact records with the broader account backup.
Verification boundary
BoundStack does not currently provide a configured external FFL registry. A saved contact is account data, not proof that a license is current or that the entered details are correct.
Data hygiene
Use one saved contact per source, review the address and license-number fields, and avoid embedding important details only in notes. Verify any license details against an authoritative source before relying on them.
FAQ
Does BoundStack search official ATF listings?
No. External registry lookup is not configured. Add contacts manually and verify them independently.
Can a source be reused on later acquisitions?
Yes. Saved contacts can be selected during acquisition entry.
